CME is always looking for brilliant people to expand our team. If you're keen to work on a wide variety of problems then get in contact.
We are always on the look out for talented new staff. At this point in our company's growth there are a few key things we look for
We are obsessive about doing whatever is necessary to make the client's business succeed. Sometimes this will mean challenging the client, sometimes it will mean doing tasks are far outside your job description, or stepping in to fill a gap because a partner has dropped the ball. We act like we've been brought in to help the client's marketing.
We deliver increased marketing ROI. We happen to do that primarily through software but the key is always customer engagement, and sometimes the best approach is the simplest. Perhaps the best option is to lower costs by cutting a programme entirely. Similarly you need to think about how much your salary is costing the client and always be looking for a way to hand-back tasks.
Some of our roles are only suitable to people with a PhD in statistics. But what I'm talking about here is that everything we touch is evidence based, and that requires strong, deep foundational knowledge of statistics. Yeah, you'll often be guessing due to insufficient data, but you should always know that you are guessing due to insufficient data.
We help marketers. Effectively our role is teaching marketing teams how data can get them better customer relationships. The only way to effectively teach a marketer is by understanding their mind-set. For example an appreciation that it can be a great idea to run a bold campaign which offends a tiny percentage of customers but deepens the relationship with most customers.
We are a small team. You might need to go onsite and help train the client, fix your own computer, help tidy up, and diagnose why a campaign isn't increasing engagement &emdash; all in the same week. Roles are only loosely defined, and people with broad skill sets will find it a lot easier to fit in.
CME operates from a head office in Westhaven, Auckland, New Zealand. However we have helpers spread throughout the world and do not see location as a major issue.
